Amit is the Founder of Hlthie, an insurtech startup building the UK’s first truly digital health insurance product. He is one of the Top 100 Asian Stars in UK Technology 2020. Until April 2019, Amit was Director of New Ventures at Bupa.
As an intrapreneur, he was responsible for incubating & scaling innovative digital businesses (e.g. Bupa on Demand – a PAYG private healthcare marketplace).
Amit has previously held several Senior Roles at Bupa including Strategy & M&A Director for Bupa UK across its portfolio of insurance & provision businesses (£3bn revenue). Prior to Bupa, he worked as a Strategy Consultant at LEK – a top tier Strategy Consulting firm - advising Fortune 500 companies and private equity investors on growth strategy and M&A across FS, Life Sciences and Healthcare.
Amit started his career in Medicine and trained as a General Surgeon working in the NHS.
According to the company, the design of the camera was developed to meet the needs of general healthcare providers, including primary care, optometry, retail health clinics and home health settings, and ensure accessibility and practicality in these environments.
