Rayna, a former NHS doctor, and Georgina, a data scientist, combined forces to create a pioneering app in cancer care. Vinehealth was designed to empower cancer patients to take control of their treatment. Through creating an app, this gave patients to meet their care needs at the touch of a screen in the comfort of their own homes.
Founded in 2018, the company is in seed funding stage. The founders made headlines as being the first all-female founding team from the Entrepreneur First programme to raise more tan £1m. Vinehealth uses intelligent digital technology, combining behavioural science and artificial intelligence.
The Vinehealth platform aims to improve cancer outcomes. Evidence has shown that better symptom and medication management can increase survival rates in cancer patients by 20%. The app allows cancer patients or carers to track symptoms, side effects and medications. It combines all of this information with lifestyle data to improve overall outcomes and encourage healthier lifestyles. The high-quality real-time data informs the delivery of healthcare and drug development.
