"Dame Leslie Regan is a British gynaecologist and professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Imperial College London. She is a world-renowned expert on gynaecology and has been at the forefront of research into miscarriage, period problems, gynaecological surgery and menopause. She is also the Immediate Past President of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and the Government's first ever Women's Health Ambassador for England. Dame Lesley is a passionate advocate for women's health and has dedicated her career to improving the lives of women.
Here are some of her notable achievements:
- Developed the Recurrent Miscarriage clinic, which is the largest referral service worldwide for women with recurrent miscarriage.
- Chaired the Women's Sexual and Reproductive Rights Committee of the International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (FIGO).
- Co-founded the Charity for Research into Miscarriage (CHARM).
- Appointed as the Government's first ever Women's Health Ambassador for England.
- Dame Lesley is a role model for women in medicine and her work has had a significant impact on the lives of women around the world.
